Pastor Donald Goodwine, Sr., Board Chairman

  • Donald Goodwine Sr. is a native of Beaufort, South Carolina. He is the son of Queen E. Goodwine Green, and he has five siblings, Linda, Marion, David, Michael, and Danny.

    Pastor Goodwine attended Robert Smalls Elementary, Junior High, and High schools and graduated from Beaufort High School in 1972. In 1976 Goodwine received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Voorhees College, in Denmark, South Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business (Advance Management Development Program) 2007-2008.

    Pastor Goodwine was employed by the Beaufort County School District from 1976-1980 as internal auditor; 1980-1982 United Communities for Child Development as Head Bookkeeper and 1982-2014 Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company as Unit Operations Manager.


    In 1989 Pastor Goodwine was ordained into the Deacon Ministry; in 2002 he was licensed to preach the "Gospel." In 2004 he was ordained as a Baptist Minister, and in 2005 he was called to service as pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Beaufort, South Carolina where he currently serves as senior Pastor.

    Civic duties: Pastor Goodwine served as Chairman of the Board of United Communities for Child Development; Second Vice President of NAACP Burton-Beaufort-Dale Branch; board member of the Salvation Army (Beaufort); member of Big Brother program; and presently serves as Chairman of the board for the Circle of Hope Ministries.

    Pastor Goodwine's life's mission is inspired by Matthew 25:35-36 -"For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison and ye came unto me." Pastor Goodwine currently resides in Beaufort, South Carolina with his lovely wife Joyce Victoria; they have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
